Easter

We were lucky enough to be in Edmonton for Easter this year. There was still snow on the ground so the Easter Bunny came to visit us at the church.
Zoe helped Eloise find eggs.
Sam had some help from Jared and was so excited for each egg.

Enjoying the treats!
Matching Easter outfits and silly kids.

St. Patrick's Day

I told Eloise about St. Patrick's Day a few days prior. She was quite nervous about the concept of Leprechauns. She was scared of little men who came to pinch you. I showed her some pictures online and she said 'oh they are not scary they are silly'. So when the day came around as soon as she woke up she had to put on her green shirt so that she would not get pinched. Then we found some clues that the Leprechauns left leading to the treasure.

Here is the treasure we found those silly Leprechauns left for each of us.

Brett and Heather's Wedding

Brett and Heather we sealed on March 3rd. It was a beautiful day full of family and fun. The kids loved spening time with their cousins and we love that they were able to see the happy couple be married in the temple.
Stomping in the snow waiting for the couple to come out.

Cutest kids I know.

Dance Party!

Hawaii

Bryce and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary with Terry and Nicole who were celebrating their 10 year anniversary in Hawaii. We went to Kaui and stayed in Princeville at the Sealodge. The island was beautiful and our place was perfect (good work Nicole).
We enjoyed the beautiful beaches, went crazy for all the chocolate macadamia nuts, hike the Na Pali trail and fit right in with the Hawaiian style of living.
We drove up Waimea Canyon which was the windiest road that I have ever been on. By the time we got up to the canyon we were not feeling great but the view was worth it (and so were the Macaroons that we bought from the town at the bottom at the road).

Bryce stepped on a sea urchin while we were swimming one of the days and still has spikes in his big toe. The lifeguards could not do too much to help except have us soak it in vinegar to kill the poison.
Enjoying our last lounge on the wicker furniture in our condo.

The playdough trees near our condo.

Thank you to Grandma Jinnie and Grandpa Dale and also Travis and Leanne for taking such good care of our kids. Eloise called me Grandma for days after we got back.

Sam's 2nd Birthday

We love Sam and he turned 2 in January! Bryce made him some delicious 'S' pancakes which he gobbled up.
For his party we had Darrell and Lonni's families over for dinner. We had Sam's favorite meal Pasta with Tomato Sauce. Then we headed out to the garage to do the Megamind pinata that we made. I made the pinata from a balloon and happened to cover it with blue paper and it looked exactly like Megamind's head. So Bryce tapped into his creativity and drew a perfect face for it. It was a big hit and the McMullen's got in some of the best hits with their baseball skills.
Here is the kiddies enjoying their spoils.
We made Sam a train cake since they seem to be his favorite lately. What a boy Sam is. We often say he is the strong silent type since he gets what he needs without many words. We also call him Sam the Destroyer because he leaves a trail of destruction in his wake.
