The Weekend

Eloise and I enjoying some Sunday afternoon snacks and cuddles. Who could ask for anything more?

Saturday I was spoiled with some alone time thanks to Bryce. Bryce took the kids to run some very important errands. This is what happens when you leave Eloise alone in the cart with the butter...she just got hungry and couldn't resist a little bite of butter.
All weekend Eloise enjoyed her special new chair passed down from cousins, she love eating snacks, watching movies and rocking...thanks Lonni!

Maxwell Dale

Welcome to the newest Rumsey in town. Congratulations to Cheri and Chad who had their second baby Maxwell on March 20 weighing 8 lbs. 5 oz. Can't wait to meet him!!

Going to the Zoo

We took a trip to the Zoo Saturday for some family fun. We anticipated a short trip with Sam being as unpredictable as they come (always good to keep expectations low), but both kids did great and we ended up seeing most of the main enclosures.

Elosie is now old enough to actually care about the animal and was quite fascinated by the hippos and giraffes. After dinner she insisted on carrying around one of her chicken fingers (which she does often with dinner items), until she took a break by sitting on the ground and lost the finger trying to get up. Bryce said she had to throw it away in fear that it may be contaminated with animal feces.

One of the most exciting animals for Eloise, much to the disgust of Bryce and I, was the Canadian geese. Thankfully these ones did not hiss at her like they usually do down by the river.

As you can see Sam was really enjoying himself.

Thanks Grandma

Grandma Jinnie stayed over at our house last week before flying to Pennsylvania to be with Cheri, Chad and Lucy in anticipation of the newest Rumsey's arrival. She left an Easter treat bag for Eloise since she was asleep the whole visit. Eloise especially loved the Pez dispenser, and really loved when she found out you could open it right up to score all the candies at once.

The End of a Plague

For the last couple weeks Eloise (and everyone else in the family) has not been feeling 100% she had a bad cold and then cut her eye teeth so she has been a bit docile. I think now she is feeling better and here is some proof...

She is once again very interested in holding Sam...

and taking apart various cupboards to find small spaces to hide in...

and just today she has started imitating the crying of her babies and will comfort them and put them to bed (or get in bed with them which you see here). So cute!

The last clue is that she discovered that when you are put down for a nap in your 'big girl bed' you can play and get out at will. So I am sure that the battle of staying in bed has begun!

Dapper Boy

We found the cutest outfit for Sam's church attire (which no one sees because he is usually wrapped up in a blanket the whole time).

Spring Fever

We have been enjoying lovely weather for the past few days and it has been so nice to take the kids out without having to bundle up too much. Today Eloise and I went for a walk and to try out her new rubber boots from Grandma Jinnie! It was fun to explore in the puddles and even sit down in one for a little break (Eloise not me). We even collected some of our treasures in a bucket (thankfully no drug paraphernalia).

Little Girl in a Big Bed

Since our family has grown and our condo has not Eloise must make the step into the 'big bed' to make room in the crib for Sam.

She look so small in the bed, but she was super excited to lay down on the pillow! It is now 9:00 and we haven't heard a sound so I am hoping that the transition will be easy. Bryce did just check on her and she was horizontal across the top of the bed with her face up against the head board (which is very similar to how she liked to lay in her crib)...funny girl!

Fat Lip

We were coming in from a trip to the grocery store yesterday and when I turned around from unlocking our door I found Eloise face down on the pavement OUCH! Her first and I am sure not last fat lip...

Samuel's Blessing

As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we give the baby a name and blessing after their birth. This is a very sacred and special event for families. On Saturday we blessed Samuel (6 weeks old) with his cousin Cohen. It was a special event and we felt so blessed to have wonderful family there for it. Bryce gave Samuel the blessing and the circle included Grandpa Dale, Grandpa Jim, Uncle Darrel, Uncle Tim, Uncle Terry and Brother Poon (from the bishopric).

Cute cousins!

Both sets of grandparents.
