Eating Machine

Sam has always loved to eat. Now that he has discovered solid food this love has grown. He will now eat most things that we are having for dinner (after a little time in the Majic Bullet) and often eats more than Eloise at mealtimes. What a boy.

Moved

We have now officially moved and are feeling pretty settled in. Love our new home and love that there are very few boxes left to unpack. We feel very blessed to have such great family who have been nothing but helpful the past few weeks.

Here is the condo all packed up and ready to go.
The kidlets on their way out of the condo for the last time.
Cheers to our work crew.

Cheers to our new home.

Veranda Beach

The week before the big move we were lucky to have the chance to go to Veranda Beach Resort near Oroville WA on Lake Osoyoos. We went with Terry and Nicole and their 4 lovely children as well as Barbara and Jim. It was a beautiful location, weather and company. We made the trek down in two parts on the way down (Barbara and Jim came with us in the sweet van) stopping in Creston BC overnight to break up the trip. We arrived to a beautiful cottage right on the beach and immediately were ready to play. The week flew by with lots of time in the sun at the pool and lake. The kids were great and the relaxing was much appreciated.

This is my favorite picture from the trip you can really see how much Bryce loves being a dad. Also notice how big Sam is getting, he was getting fed every time he woke up at night and was taking full advantage of being spoiled by waking up every two hours. He gained over a pound that week!
Enjoying a delicious noodle dinner. Thanks to Aunt Nicole for saving Eloise's life shortly after this when she choked on these noodles.
This is how Sam and Cohen spent most of their awake time. This was the best basket of toys ever that was unloaded and loaded back up countless times.
This is the beach right outside our cottage. Gorgeous views of lake mountains and Eloise.

Count Down to the Move

We are moving in two weeks to a house in Diamond Cove (with a yard!!!!!). We went for a Sunday walk to check out the nearby paths through Fish Creek Park. It was beautiful and we can't wait to explore more in and around our new home!

Wedding Party

We recently attended my beautiful cousin Tiffany's wedding to Drew. It was a lovely evening and although it was way past bedtime here is proof that the kids had a great time especially when the dance got started...

Fireworks

During the Stampede there are firework here in Calgary every night. We were feeling brave one night and woke the kids up at 10:30 to head out for the show. When we went in to Eloise's room to get her she started stirring and Bryce went over to her bed and asked 'Do you want to go outside' she replied with a very enthusiastic 'uh huh' and got out of bed as fast as she could. The whole way to the fireworks she was super excited kicking her legs and squealing. What could be better than going out in the middle of the night on a great adventure? We got to the overlook as the first set of fireworks started 'oh wow' then we made our way over to find Darrell and Kelly and cousins to watch the next big set. While waiting Eloise feasted on her popcorn and kept pointing at the sky and saying 'mores'. Sam was super content to watch the adventure and was not startled by the fireworks at all. Kids sure so make everything more fun and exciting. Both kids curled right back up in their beds and went back to sleep when we got home.

The popcorn feast!
All ready to go!

Broken Bones

Eloise fell of the couch at grandma's house on a Wednesday. After the fall she was grumpy, sad and tired. I noticed that she didn't like her arm to be touched but she seemed to be using it so I did not think much of it. Saturday morning came and Eloise fell into the bathtub after her favorite shark toy. Again this fall caused her arm pain and she kept holding it and would not let anyone touch it. Bryce took her in to the hospital in MH and sure enough it was broken. So she came home feeling pretty special with a pretty pink cast. By the time we went to church Sunday the cast had fallen off three times. So Bryce took her in again and they wrapped it in a tensor bandage and told us to go to the Children's Hospital when we got back to Calgary (the doc there in MH had apparently never done a cast so small). So Sunday night took Bryce and Eloise to the hospital for the third time for a not so pretty but properly fitting white cast. So the next three weeks we will be dealing with a small cast and a much happier Eloise.
